Progressives will be appalled that this happened especially when the Conservative government is said to be looking at spending more money to get tougher on crime and spending less on rehabilitation:

A Waterloo, Ontario man is back in jail after somehow managing to violate just about every single provision of his release conditions.

The unnamed felon had previously been convicted of drunk driving when cops collared him in 2007 for weapons possession. He got nine months for the offence but the court had mercy on him and allowed him to serve that sentence under house arrest.

He seemed to be doing O.K. but gradually began taking drugs and drinking again while serving his time.

The lid of this boiling pot finally blew on July 30th, when he allegedly went on the kind of inebriated crime bender that broke just about every rule in the book - and perhaps a few that aren't actually in there.

Cops caught up to him that night driving his pickup drunk, stoned on crack, and stark naked in the front seat. But that's not all. He was also caught masturbating beside an equally naked prostitute. And he was speeding, going so fast that he wound up smashing into a parked car.

Witnesses say he grabbed his clothes after the accident and tried to get dressed while at the same time running away in his inebriated state, leaving his unclad companion in the truck behind him.

Needless to say, he didn't get far.

It won't surprise you to hear his freedom has been revoked again, and he'll serve four months for his latest misbehaviour - but this time in a real jail cell. (CityNews)

Now that he is in prison one would suspect he'll be voting Liberal in the next federal election. I want my social justice.

Up until today Calgary swimmers wearing multicultural clothing such as hijabs, saris and other non-traditional types of swimwear were only allowed to attend the Village Square pool if they insisted on wearing clothes that "conformed to their religious and ethnic beliefs". The City of Calgary has now made it policy that all public pools in the city will be open to anyone wearing anything as long as the multicultural garments are clean. The term multicultural garments has also been extended to include sweatpants and leggings to reflect the full cultural diversity experience. I applaud the decision and can't wait to jump in a Calgary pool with a pair of cowboy boots, an orange toque and of course my Dust my Broom thong.

The caveat is that I wouldn't be able to jump in just anywhere as the delegated jumping in area would be crowded with cultural diversity. The City of Calgary has mandated that although you can wear whatever you want to any public pool in the city, you must remain in the shallow end and according to this CBC article they didn't provide a reason for it.

So on one hand while the city applauds themselves for embracing diversity on the other those expressing outward multiculturalism are to be segregated to one end of the pool. That doesn't seem fair and it is quite possible that this policy may lead to further actions down the road from the multiculturally obscure willing to face off against the hate capital of Canada.

The next time some bum from Ontario drives thru the city they'll be bound to wonder out loud about the apartheid policies of the socialist Nazi's and progressive facists and how they are able to get away with it - Canada is a racist shithole^TM.

Two brothers on a Greyhound bus from Edmonton to Fort McMurray were threatened by an apparently intoxicated passenger wielding a knife. Apparently because Canadians are now normalized to bus beheadings the bus continued on its way to the next stop without any mass panic:

The man sat between the two brothers and suddenly began stabbing the seat.

Andrew got up and told the bus driver what was happening. Despite the warning, the bus driver kept going.

"(The man) started calling us rats," Josh said. "He said 'how'd you like walking around without an eye.'"

The bus continued for about an hour. Twice during that time, the bus driver pulled over, telling the man he would have to get off the bus. When he refused, the driver kept going.

The man then threatened the two brothers with beheading, referring to the attack on Tim McLean outside Portage La Prairie July 30. McLean was stabbed and then beheaded by another Greyhound passenger.

"You'll be on the news," Josh recalled the man saying. "I'm going to cut your head off and throw it out the window."

The bus finally came to a stop near Wandering River, where it was met by an RCMP officer who was in the area, said Sgt. Ray Williams of the Boyle RCMP. An officer got on the bus, pepper sprayed the man, and took him into custody, Josh said. (Sun Media)

Fact: Whenever I'm driving a Greyhound bus and somebody threatens a beheading I casually pull off to the side and usher everyone off.

Lawrence Greenspon, the lawyer for Canadian terrorist suspect Momin Khawaja is apparently arguing in court that his client did not intend to kill innocent civilians in Britain with his buddies. What he really, really wanted to do was to go to Afghanistan and wage jihad against 'Western' forces:

Momin Khawaja undoubtedly wanted to fight for the Islamic cause in Afghanistan, but he never intended to bomb civilians in Britain, says his defence lawyer.

Lawrence Greenspon acknowledged Tuesday in Ontario Superior Court that there's "ample evidence" Khawaja took weapons training with a view to becoming a "frontline jihad soldier" in the battle against western forces in Afghanistan.

He also acknowledged that his client developed a remote-control device, dubbed the Hi-Fi Digimonster, that was capable of being used to set off explosives.

But he insisted the Digimonster, too, was designed for use against military targets in Afghanistan - not for a homemade fertilizer bomb being constructed by others in Britain.

"There is no direct evidence that Momin Khawaja had any knowledge of the London fertilizer bomb plot," Greenspon told Justice Douglas Rutherford, who is hearing the case without a jury.

Greenspon maintained that the London plotters - although they had frequent contact with Khawaja - never let him in on their plans to mount attacks in Britain.

In previous testimony, it was argued by Momin Khawaja's former fiance Zeba Khan that even though Momin praised the 9/11 terrorist attacks she never really considered him an extremist or a terrorist and he was just another angry young Muslim.

Two researchers trying to prove the existence of Bigfoot say that the carcass encased in a block of ice - handed over to them for an undisclosed sum by two men who claimed to have found it - was slowly thawed out, and discovered to be a rubber gorilla outfit.

The revelation comes just days after a news conference was held in California to say the remains found in the North Georgia mountains were the legendary man-ape.

Steve Kulls, of squatchdetective.com and host of Squatchdetective Radio, says in a posting on a website run by Bigfoot researcher Tom Biscardi that as the "evidence" was thawed, the claim began to unravel as a giant hoax.

A 14-year-old has told Manchester Crown Court how he and another boy were forced to flog themselves until they bled during a religious ceremony.

The teenager said Syed Mustafa Zaidi made them flog themselves with a whip which had chains and blades attached, as part of a Shia Muslim ceremony.

He said the other boy, aged 15, was also forced to do "the knife thing" in Levenshulme, Manchester, on 19 January.

Mr Zaidi, 44, of Station Road, Eccles, denies two counts of child cruelty.

The court heard how the defendant and the two boys were part of a large group of men who attended an Ashura ceremony commemorating the death of the spiritual leader of Shia Muslims.

The 14-year-old boy was 13 at the time of the alleged incident, which is said to have happened at a community centre.

He said he saw Mr Zaidi flogging himself with the whip - called a zanjeer - before washing his blood from it and handing it to the 15-year-old boy.

He told the court that Mr Zaidi was "pulling him and pushing him, 'keep doing it', telling people: 'This is a sad moment and look, he's not doing it'.

"He goes: 'I don't want to do it, I don't want to do it'.

"He kept pressuring him, make him do the knife thing, pulling him, trying to get his T-shirt off, pulling and pushing him.

"He was saying 'just do it, just do it'." (BBC)

If you thought that the falsified fireworks and singer during the opening ceremonies was pretty poor "sport", the Chinese have admitted another fake attempt to show their own multiculturalism and diversity. Problem is, China doesn't do diversity. They have the Chinese majority, and then all the inferior religions and races who get sent to gulags and prisons behind the happy fun scenes of China's sweet 16 birthday party :

Organisers of the Games acknowledged on Friday that children dressed in ethnic costumes from around China who carried the Chinese flag at the ceremony were not actually from those ethnic groups, some of whom have tense relations with the government.

This is the third faking incident to emerge from the Aug. 8 ceremony after it was revealed an angelic 9-year-old girl lip-synched the song "Ode to the Motherland" as the real singer was not pretty enough and some "live" fireworks pre-recorded. Games Vice President Wang Wei played down the latest incident, saying he did not know exactly where these children were from as they were performers representing China's 56 minority groups.

"It is typical for Chinese performers to wear different apparel from different ethnic groups. There is nothing special about it," Wang told reporters.

"They will wear different apparel to signify people are friendly and happy together."

But China's attempt to control every aspect of the ceremony, even if it meant some trickery and substitutions, and other manipulation at the Beijing Games such as bussing in cheering crowds has come under heavy criticism internationally.

I guess the old saying, "If the truth hurts, don't tell it." is right up the alley for Georgian President  Saakashvili as he shuts down the Russian TV stations. And isn't it interesting that he would broadcast to his own people in "English".

Russia still allows all TV stations to broadcast freely in its country. 

Georgia has pulled the plug on the last Russian-language television channel broadcasting in the country. RTVi was closed after it broadcast an interview with the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov. The closure was reported by Russian radio channel, Ekho Moskvy, an affiliate of RTVi. Its Chief Editor, Aleksey Venediktov, said the ban was an attempt by the Georgian government “to conceal the truth from its citizens and to save face”. He said: “only authoritarian and totalitarian leaders are afraid of independent and professional media”.

Commenting on the development, Sergey Lavrov said Tbilisi had planned to shut Russian-language media outlets in advance.

”I heard that the US State Secretary, Ms Condoleezza Rice, said Russia wants to undermine democracy in Georgia, as if there were no facts this year showing there is no true democracy in Georgia. As if the Georgian leadership did not decide, soon after it started its aggression against South Ossetia, to shut down all Russian television channels in Georgia and to cut off access to Russian internet sites.”

The RTVI TV channel was the only one left after Georgia forced all Russian TV channels off air more than a week ago, when fighting broke out.
 
“But even this channel was shut down after it dared to air my interview with Radio Ekho Moskvy and Vesti 24,” Lavrov said.  

”So, judge for yourself about the situation with democracy in Georgia and who undermines this democracy,” he added.

Ordinary Georgians now only have one source of information on what’s going on inside their country and that’s state-run media.  

The country’s leader has made it clear which audience he’s targeting and which media he trusts the most.  He has appeared almost daily on Western news channels over the past two weeks.  And Georgia’s national TV stations have mirrored their foreign colleagues.   

Saakashvili is seen on Georgia’s national TV via CNN and translated into his native Georgian from English.  Since the offensive was launched, English appears to have become the president’s official language and the key weapon in his own battlefield - the media. (Russia Today )
