The best place for most of this petty political litigation that goes on these days is the court of public opinion and the market place of ideas...and if we had a truely free right to political commentary the CHRCs would not exist...most of their complainants are political axe grinders who have no validity of argument in the open public forum...and yes Merle I think Harper was a schlub for suing Dion...the threat and the consequential media fallout should have been sufficient. Political expression should be wide open...just don't get personal....attack ideas not people. That is my deeply held belief as a committed libertarian of over 35years. |

Dr. Dawg, don't defend Richard Warman. He's done enough nefarious stuff--paid for by taxpayers against taxpayers--that he doesn't have a leg to stand on. I hope he has his pins knocked out from under him so seriously that he disappears from the public scene altogether. He's a disgrace to human rights. He seems only concerned about his "rights," which seem to always involve negating others'. I hope he gets hoist on his own petard. |
